TEACHING AND LEARNING CONFERENCE REGISTRATION POLICY
In order to ensure maximum benefit to TLC@AOM attendees, we ask that all registrants read the registration policy.
You must be registered for the Academy of Management’s Annual Meeting in order to register for the Teaching and Learning Conference (TLC). All TLC attendees, including individuals scheduled on the official TLC Program, are required to register and pay the appropriate registration fee in order to participate in any capacity at the Teaching and Learning Conference. This includes: authors, coordinators, discussants, facilitators, hosts, distinguished speakers, moderators, organizers, speakers, participants, presenters, panelists, secretaries, treasurers, and any division-elected or appointed volunteers. By registering to attend TLC, you grant permission to the AOM to take and use your photo in marketing and promotional pieces, written publications, videos and the association’s website for an indefinite period of time.
Attendees who have registered for the Teaching and Learning Conference (TLC) are entitled to full access, excluding committee meetings. The TLC registration fee does not include Academy of Management registration or membership. TLC registration is individual and non-transferable.
All Teaching and Learning Conference attendees must wear official conference name badges to all TLC sessions, workshops, receptions and events. Access to conference functions without a badge will be denied. Name badges are provided to all registered attendees. Attendees without an official conference badge will be asked to show proof of registration, reprint their name badge or register for the conference onsite. Accepted forms of proof include a registration receipt, a registration confirmation e-mail or a copy of the registration confirmation page. Failure to show
proof of registration will result in removal from the conference and will subject registration violators to a formal ethics complaint.
Academy of Management attendees registered as GUESTS are not permitted access to TLC workshops, events or any educational sessions. To attend any sessions, guests must pay and register at the full registration rate.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
To cancel TLC registration, a cancellation request must be submitted in writing to the Academy of Management. If the cancellation request is not received before the posted cancellation deadline, no refund will be issued. After this date, refunds cannot be granted due to contractual obligations and guarantees.
The Academy of Management strives to support its members through professional activities at the Annual Meeting. Due to the high safety and security needs, significant cost and limited interest, the Academy of Management does not provide on-site childcare services. Children are welcome to explore the Annual Meeting, accompanied by an adult attendee, and are encouraged to pick up and decorate a guest badge in the registration area.
AOM Annual Meeting attendees agree to conduct themselves in an ethical manner appropriate for a gathering of management scholars. Inappropriate behavior that creates a disturbance, disruption or safety hazard is prohibited inside any official meeting facility. Attendees may not enter any areas under construction or renovation, or during set up or tear down of the Annual Meeting equipment and fixtures. The Academy of Management reserves the right to request attendees found disrupting any part of the Annual Meeting to leave the session or facility, and the attendee may be subject to a formal ethics complaint by the AOM.
